Stan Main
The Randy Lane Company
Stan is a radio veteran of 25+ years with a career path that included
positions as Morning Show Host, Program Director, Music Director,
Sales Person, and Director of Operations. Having worked all ends
of the aisle, Stan is able to provide insight into the different
points of view for talent, sales and management.
Stan has worked with and helped to develop great morning shows
like The Brother Wease Morning Circus in Rochester and the JB and
Sandy show in Dallas/Austin. Stan also has worked with great morning
shows like Roula and Ryan in Houston, The Frank Show/Barry and Andy
in Tucson, Two Guys Named Chris/Murphy in the Morning in Greensboro,
Tuttle and Kline in Birmingham, Jonny Ramirez in San Antonio, The
Tony Fly Show in Austin, and The Dick Dale Show in Charleston.
Stan worked as the number one morning show host in Salt Lake City,
Utah and Fargo, North Dakota.
He has programmed formats in Rock, Adult Contemporary, Soft AC,
CHR, Modern AC and Classic Rock. Successes include WCMF in Rochester,
NY, which was the highest rated Rock station in the country from
1987-1991.
In 1996, Stan moved to Austin, Texas where he took the Infinity
Broadcast group of stations from a rank of 4th place to 1st place
with 12+, 18-34, and 25-54 Adults and Women.
Stan has always been into numbers, having graduated from the Arbitron
University and worked with such research experts as Richard Harker
and John Coleman.
Stan's fields of expertise include Talent Coaching and Management
Relations, Programming Strategy, Effective Station Positioning,
Effective Station Marketing, TSL Promotions, Arbitron Ratings Analysis,
Arbitrends and Maximizer software, MusicMaster, and Selector.
